Tonga cyclone tragedy
Friday 16 February 2018
Cyclone Gita.
Cyclone Gita.
My Response to the Text:
I think that the cyclone that happened in Tonga was such a sad tragedy,
I hope nobody got hurt because a lot of people's houses were blown away.
I just hope that everybody made it.

Tamaki College Technology
First time at Technology at Tamaki College.
The Technology class was kinda weird because I haven’t been inside the Tamaki school grounds before. Surrounded by hundreds of students we all felt like everybody was staring at us as if we had done something wrong. Split up into groups we all went separate ways into a different room. My group went followed a man named Mr Pineda, a Filipino teacher. We went through a hallway that had amazing things that looked like artefacts. Entering our teachers class we saw drawings on the wall, paintings, posters, and a lot of colouring pens and pencils. The Teacher handed everyone a pencil and a paper and showed us to our seats and introduced himself to us, telling us a little bit about himself and what we are going to be doing. I didn't like the class I was currently in because I don't really like to draw. I made new friends with another school Ruapotaka, they are pretty good at drawing so I asked if they could help me out. After a while we were dismissed from technology, we walked outside and we saw over 100 students walking past us like they were an elephant herd since we are so small. As the teacher hushed us all into our Bus we talked non-stop about us new classes.

Hip-Hop Session
Explanation Writing
Hip-Hop Session
The Hip-hop Session was really awkward and a bit embarrassing because I don’t really dance and I have never danced in front of my friends before. I had a lot of mixed feelings throughout the way. We did multiple exercises that made us feel awkward because we haven’t done this kind of warm-ups before. We moved our necks around, our shoulders, we played music during the warm-up. Just to hide our embarrassment we all just started smiling and laughing. All the boys stuck together throughout the whole session laughing and joking around. Halfway through we started playing games, we made shapes with our bodies, we had stayed active without any breaks. Gassed out, the Instructor said that we could go for a drink of water. The Session finished shortly after that.

Reflection about Lent Gospel
Giving to the Needy
6 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
My Reflection:
The Gospel was about when you give to the needy, you don’t need to let everyone know about it or to brag about it. It’s basically telling us to don’t be like the people who show false appearance of virtue and goodness when they are really just hiding their real character.
